I am a first-gen Indian-Pakistani American.

Since growing up under a brown household, I realized my life was a world dedicated to others. I had no purpose besides insuring the vitality of my family. Making sure they felt safe, loved and happy. Up until now, I am shocked to realize I never made a choice for myself. I never consciously lived for my own happiness.

Now, in pursuit of self actualization, I have decided to leave it all behind to rediscover what it means to be alive and to relearn what being a brown daughter actually means.

Life is too short to not be the main character. Follow along my journey as I take my power back and experience a life worth living.
