G’day fellow adventurers! Today, I want to express the value of using up as much of your time as possible. I currently work 40+ hours a week but still manage to get out and see the world. And I’m here to tell you, you can too!

Let me just say, working full-time is hard but planning trips with only two free days is harder.

Especially when you want to discover new things outside of your immediate location, but if you’re willing to send it, anything is possible, even with just 3 hours of sleep!

You are the creator of your world. You have the power to do anything you desire, so I urge you to take control.

Now, If you’re looking to find a beautiful place to cool down during the summer heat, search no more. I’ll be sharing with you a unique colorado gem hidden within its dry desert.

Adventure Notes

Name: Vermillion Falls

Helpful tips:

  • The falls are about 7 feet deep
  • Bring food and water to drink
  • Recommend parking above the falls and hike down from there
  • Pet friendly

How to get there:

from Steamboat Springs, follow U.S. 40 west to Maybell, passing through Hayden and Craig on your way. Just outside of West Maybell, turn right onto CO Hwy. 318. Follow CO 318 to mile marker 20. Just beyond mile marker 20, turn left onto the dirt road at the sign for Vermillion Falls. There is no real parking area, so just park where you choose.

But if you rather drive up to the falls, keep going and you’ll come to a fork in the road. Turn right. The road will be a little rougher from this point, but just keep going and you’ll see it.
